Seewing Lam
Seewing Lam holds a Master’s degree in Violin Performance from the Mannes School of Music. She began studying piano at five and violin at seven, later attending the Shenzhen Arts School under Professor Li Songyang, with additional guidance from Professor Xie Sulin of USC.
In 2014, Seewing won an award at the California Association of Professional Music Teachers Concerto Competition and first place in the American Protégé International Music Talent Competition. She performed a solo recital at Carnegie Hall in 2015, becoming the first student from Shenzhen Arts School to do so.
At Mannes, she studied under Miranda Cuckson, gaining extensive performance experience. Seewing has performed as associate concertmaster with the Yantian Symphony Orchestra and the Shenzhen City Philharmonic Orchestra and played solo with the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra.
Seewing began teaching during her undergraduate studies, instructing both children and adults. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes "Love," "Patience," and "Responsibility," ensuring students learn proper techniques while enjoying music.
